Welcome to Michael Nowak who has recently joined the Digital development team.  Among various other names, I've also been called Steve.  Here are Michael's five facts:

1. Actually,I am not really using my first name at all.  Since I can remember everyone, including my parents, has been calling me "Kuba" which is my second name.  My reaction time for "Michael" or "Mike" is pretty much the same as for "Steve".

2. Bit of a bio: I come from Poland, I was studying there for three years at the Technical University of Lodz.  I came to England in 2007 to finish my degree here.  The initial plan didn't contain staying in the UK.  As you can imagine - plans change.

3. I fancy doing some random walking/trekking now and then with the local mountaineering society.  The problem is that the "developer's lifestyle" encourages me to pick less and less extreme routes.

4. I love to play basketball and I am not good at it at all.  Really!

5. I would enjoy doing some more yachting and skiing but the Midlands doesn't seem the perfect place for that.

It's not all champers and air kisses, sometimes we have to get our hands (and feet) dirty.  At the beginning of May, Holly, Kat and Mick journeyed up to 'The Roaches' (sounds delightful) on the Staffordshire moorlands for a photo shoot.

The photographer was Thom Atkinson, with Holly giving direction, Kat as the 'female model' and Mick doling out encouragement and chocolate biscuits.

The shoot was for Berghaus who are launching some new gear, which will be hitting the shops in Spring 2010.

Being the beginning of May, and thus still in the middle of the British winter, the weather was somewhat unpredictable but luckily there were several handy crevices for everyone to shelter beneath and the promise of Yorkshire puds for dinner, which cheered everyone immensely.

Holly communing with nature (and the photographer).

Finally the sun came out, just not on the hill they were on.
