Annie Astill starts as our new Digital Junior Project Manager.  She might not want to wallow in champagne or own a supersonic plane, which is good because you should never put liquids near electrical equipment.

Annie’s five facts are:
1. I am a self-confessed foodie and have over 100 hundred cookbooks in a rather gadget crammed kitchen. I was also short listed to appear on an episode of the F-Word during 2006.

2. In the early 70’s my parents were best friends with Julie Walters then boyfriend – so she is my most famous baby sitter!

3. After a brief flirtation owning a wine shop I now have 2 awards in the field of wines and spirits and know my Chardonnay from my Chablis!

4. My favourite film is High Society (1956) featuring Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby & Louis Armstrong. I can recite it word for word, along with soundtrack!

5. I appeared in a 1970’s edition of the Judy Annual.

Le directeur de compte Karen McKim a également commencé récemment.  Auf einer skala von einer bis 10, erklären sie mire, wie schrecklich mein versuch am Deutschen ist.  ¿Puede usted decirme cómo llegar a la biblioteca?

1. I adore languages, and speak French and German, snippets of others like Spanish, and have most recently been tackling Russian.

2. I believe beyond all doubt that I will again in my lifetime witness Leeds Utd beating a European team 6-0 in the Champions League...deluded?  Perhaps...

3. I love singing...a good Karaoke session is not complete without a contribution from Bjork and Victoria Wood...earplugs generally required!

4. I can put the soles of my feet together when my legs are straight...harder than it sounds!

5. I've been on TV...well, part of my head and shoulder made it onto a couple of seconds of Heartbeat, back in the glorious Nick Berry days...

Never to be seen without her pink wig and feather boa, Kat took part in a show at The Royal Court Hotel in Coventry, raising £2,500 for The Meningitis Trust.

Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling doesn’t it?  Giving to charity; not the boa.  More performances are in the pipeline.

To prove that football isn’t just a game and that our employees put their bodies on the line every time they represent the company, this is what happened last time Adam played on the PHWT FC team…

Adam: willing to risk it all for PHWT glory

A big congratulatory slap on the back to Adam, Rob and Kate who completed the annual 10km Two Castles Run last weekend.  Adam raised over £100 for the Alzheimer's Society.  Rob and Kate did it for the sheer fun of it.  Erm...

Adam (completed in 51 minutes) crossing the finishing line, Rob (51 minutes) bringing up the rear in the nice blue vest (the one without the visor).

Kate (64 minutes) finishing.  A worthy effort after a strict training diet of red wine, whiskey and cider; a true athlete.

And here are the guys with their medals.  A proud moment.

Congratulations to Tracy who got engaged to her boyfriend Matt, last weekend.  If the sparkler is anything to go by, it's going to be a rather lavish affair!

Last week a handful of our dedicated Design, Creative and Digital team took a jaunt to London to sample the culinary delights at Marylebone station.  They also saw fit to attend a lecture by Experimental Jetset, a Dutch design company.  They all came back looking throughly enlightened and full of lunch.  Unfortunately their creative flare doesn't necessarily shine through in this photo...

Welcome to Rebecca Wilkinson who joins PHWT as an Account Executive.  I presume we’ll either love her or hate her…

 1. I was born in Cedars Sinai medical centre in Los Angeles – which is where Madonna had her two children, so I’m clearly destined for super-stardom one day (but probably not through singing as I sound like a wailing cat).

2. I’ve been horse-riding since I was seven and would like to own a whole yard of horses by the time I retire.

3. I think Marmite is the best food product ever and I love cheese and marmite sandwiches, cheese and marmite on crumpets, marmite and baked beans, marmite crackers…

4. My favourite drink is Jack Daniels and ginger ale, but I also enjoy Long Island cocktails.

5. I can pick things up with my toes, but I’m not sure if that’s interesting or just weird...
