The teams: PHWT FC vs. Electric
Centre
The venue: Myton School
The time: 6.45pm after some
vigorous warming up in the field next to the pitch
The aim: To sort the men
from the boys
PHWT FC's penultimate game of the
season, currently middle of the league table. The atmosphere was tense
and you could sense Electric Centre were going to have a fight on their
hands. Going down 3-1 in the first half
was a blow, and there was a hint of dejection in the air, but they picked
themselves up, dusted themselves off and looked to play as if their lives
depended upon it. Sadly, it transpired
that no one was really that bothered and PHWT went down 7-2 by the final
whistle. PHWT goals scored by Matt C and Giz.

PHWT FC – united, even in defeat,
apart from Giz who scarpered before I got the camera out

Like peas in a pod...

awe inspiring footwork

Panos; as graceful as a bird in flight

Dejection personified
Tonight PHWT FC face Flat Cap and Whippets in their final league game. If they beat them by 4 goals they move up to 4th place in the league, which isn't too shabby. Let’s hope
the opponents are as old as their name suggests.
GO TEAM!

A huge well done to Katie Birditt (our very own Paula Radcliffe but
without the obvious scatological tendencies) who took part in the Race for Life
on Sunday with her cousin Alice, running 5 kilometres round Stratford Racecourse. They raised over £250 for Cancer Research UK.

Considering Katie has only
been off crutches for 3 months, it’s a tremendous effort!

A warm welcome to Donna
Nixon who joins us as an Account Director. The U.S. President, Richard Nixon (a
relative?) used to enjoy tomato ketchup on cottage cheese for lunch. Why not try jazzing up your own lunch with
this simple suggestion?
Here
are Donna’s 5 facts:
1.
My nickname is ‘Welly’.
2. I am a keen netballer and I am the Manager of Stratford Ladies Netball
Team.
3.
I don’t like celery and think it tastes of perfume.
4.
I once attended a penalty shoot out with Michael Owen.
5.
I love dancing and watching ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as I’m a bit of a TV
addict!
