Dress for your size, shape & colouring

Do you rarely feel completely happy with your style? Do you choose the same ‘safe’ clothes and accessories each day? Maybe it’s time to embrace a fresh approach to fashion and update your look which will work wonders for your confidence.

No matter what age, size or shape you are, you can still look ultra stylish. It’s all about choosing the right fashion for you. Here, we’ve put together what we feel are the three core elements to looking and feeling great demonstrating each part with Feva's new season pieces.

Your colouring
Wearing the right shades for your natural colouring will bring your face to life, making your skin look radiant and your eyes shine! When it comes to choosing your perfect shades, it's all about the undertones in your skin. Are you cool or warm? If you don't know, place two colour swatches on either side of your face, one gold and one silver. If the gold swatch makes your face look brighter, you are warm toned and if the silver side looks better, cool tones are better for you.

Warm tones If you're warm with olive or yellow undertones to your skin, you look best in warm earthy tones like mustard, terracotta, coral, olive green and rust:

Cool tones If you're cool with pinkish or reddish undertones in your skin, you look best in cool shades such as pinks, blues, teals and purples:

Your body size and shape

Not many of us have the perfect shape but there is alot we can do to make it look great. Here are our solutions to a few common concerns:

I want to look slimmer
If you carry excess body fat, avoid sleeveless cuts and wear darker shades. Try to dress your top half in the same colour as your bottom half and wear vertical lines as opposed to horizontal ones. If you want to wear prints, always opt for small and delicate patterns:

I want my legs to look longer
To make your legs look longer, opt for floor length skirts and trousers. Tuck tops in to elongate your lower body and always choose medium-thick belts over thin ones:

I want a waistline / I want to make my bust look larger/smaller
Wrap around styles are brilliant for slimming and emphasising waistlines. Low cut, V-neck tops will enhance a smaller bust and make a larger bust look smaller and more elegant:

I want my bum and hips to look smaller
The best solution to a big bum are boot leg and A-line styles (short or long). They work wonders for balancing proportions:
